‘Big Mouth’ is a compact, low-growing cultivar known for its exceptionally large traps on short petioles, forming a dense cluster close to the soil. The trap interiors often show a deep red color, while the outer edges and petioles stay green, sometimes with red streaks running across the teeth. The teeth are fine, long, and prominent.
Unlike flytrap varieties with tall, upright leaves, ‘Big Mouth’ keeps a ground-hugging profile. Developed by Tony Camilleri, Plants are shipped "bare root" and Monday through Thursday with a 3-inch pot and enough long-fiber sphagnum moss or media included to fill the pot along with care instructions.
